Founded in 1900 in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a manufacturer of high-quality knit underwear. Known for its signature henley neck T-shirt, the brand continues to oversee an integrated production process—from spinning to sewing—using premium materials sourced from the American South.
Comfort through performance fabric
The fabric has a balanced weight, blending moisture-wicking American cotton with polyester for quick-drying performance and durability.
It also uses open-end yarn, which contains more air than conventional yarn, enhancing both moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties. In addition, a silver-ion (AG+) treatment provides antibacterial and deodorizing functionality.
While maintaining a classic, cotton-like appearance, it offers excellent functionality for everyday use.
A clean, minimal football T-shirt
The neckline features a balanced binder neckline. By sandwiching the body fabric within the collar during construction, it creates added thickness for a durable finish that resists stretching.
Panels are placed beneath the front and back neckline, reflecting traditional football T-shirt detailing. The body remains clean and minimal, free from unnecessary decoration.
The shoulder line is slightly dropped, while the sleeves are cut at a half length that covers the elbows, for a relaxed, easygoing fit.
At the hem, a signature reflective logo from RAG and a HEALTHKNIT name tag are placed, adding a subtle accent to the minimal design.
The stitching at the cuffs and hem uses a traditional single-needle hemming stitch known in Japan as “tenchi-biki.” Characterized by a single dotted line of stitching, it offers a more understated appearance compared to the typical double-stitched finish, while maintaining durability.
