Founded in 1971 by two students from the University of California’s climbing club, MARMOT is an outdoor brand rooted in authentic mountaineering culture. It was the first outdoor apparel company to integrate GORE-TEX into its gear, reshaping the industry. Lightweight strength with responsible engineering
The outer shell is made from 100% recycled 40-denier nylon—lightweight yet remarkably durable. A plain-weave structure enhances both suppleness and resilience.
Laminated with an advanced ePE membrane, it offers excellent windproofing, breathability, and dependable waterproof performance, keeping you comfortable during sudden weather shifts or active movement.
The membrane is PFAS-free, achieving high functionality while reducing environmental impact—an evolution toward more sustainable technical wear. 
The lining uses a micro ripstop fabric for enhanced tear resistance—ideal for layering and everyday durability.
Insulation is premium 750 fill-power down, a level typically used for alpine conditions.
“Fill power” (FP) measures the loft per ounce of down, and 750FP is considered a high-quality benchmark suitable for demanding outdoor applications. 
Down insulation continues from the collar through the hood for full coverage, gently wrapping the neck to retain warmth on especially cold days. 
The sleeves feature a double-layer construction with a fleece inner cuff to block cold air and enhance heat retention. 
The front uses a double zipper, allowing flexibility when layering or when seated, such as while driving. 
A large interior pocket offers storage capacity that often removes the need for a separate bag. 
The exterior pockets include both zipper and flap coverage for additional protection against rain and snow.
