Established in 2007 in Kyoto, Japan, FREE RAGE is a factory brand with the concept of “express freely, rage freely.” It blends outdoor, workwear, and military influences with traditional Japanese techniques, including hand-dyeing, Yuzen dyeing, and hand-printed designs. By collaborating with artisans across Japan and using custom-mixed inks, each piece is a “Made in Japan” creation that showcases unique craftsmanship.

Made from 100% cotton french terry—one of the most versatile and easy-to-wear fabrics—the body offers a soft feel with gentle warmth, ensuring comfortable wear throughout the year. Through free rage’s distinctive lens, it is crafted to evoke the texture and character of 1960s vintage sweatshirts.
Artisan Craftsmanship in Print and Finish
The prints are created using water-based silk-screen and discharge techniques, faithfully recreating the distinctive colors and character of vintage comics.
All distressed effects are carefully applied by hand, guided by the artisans’ experience and intuition. The result is a perfectly balanced, never-overdone vintage look with subtle authenticity.
The neckline features a slightly snug crew neck design.
Raglan sleeves are used to allow smooth movement around the shoulders.
The sleeve and hem ribbing are intentionally kept shorter to recreate a silhouette closer to vintage garments.
